BS 3605 was published in two parts. Part 1 covered seamless pipes and tubes and part 2 covered welded pipes and tubes. All of these products were intended for pressure purpose applications.
The steel compositions were common to both parts of the standard, so are only shown once in the table in this article.
Both parts of BS 3605 are now withdrawn (as at March 2005). Part 1 has been replaced by EN 10216-5 and part 2 by BSEN 10217-7. The BS 3605 grade designations have not been used in the new European Standards but are shown in this article for historical interest.
